The Generative AI feature revolutionizes test creation, enabling teachers to generate customized question papers in just a few clicks. Educators can create question sets tailored to board, grade, subject, chapter, and complexity level, making test preparation more streamlined and efficient.

How to Generate a Question Paper Using Generative AI

Step 1: Login and Navigate to Generative AI

  • Log in to your WEXL account as an admin or teacher.

  • From the left-side menu, select Generative AI.

  • Here, you’ll find different question paper generation options.

Different Ways to Generate Questions

Questions by Topic

This option allows teachers to generate a question paper based on a specific topic.

Steps to Create Questions by Topic:

  1. Click on New Job to start creating a question paper.

  1. Provide a title for the question paper.

  2. Select the Board, Grade, Subject, Chapter, Sub-topic, and Complexity Level.

  3. Click on Generate, and the AI will create a set of questions accordingly.

  1. Once generated, click Refresh to check the status.

  2. Click View Mode to preview the questions.

  1. If needed, edit the questions, marks, or complexity level before saving.

All generated questions are saved under the selected subtopic and can be reused in future tests or within the MLP.

Questions by PDF

This option allows teachers to generate questions from a provided PDF file (e.g., a chapter or subtopic book).

Steps to Create Questions by PDF:

  1. Click on New Job to start the process.

  2. Provide a title for the question paper.

  3. Select the Board, Grade, Subject, Chapter, Sub-topic, and Complexity Level.

  4. Upload the related PDF material (e.g., textbook chapters or subtopic content).

  1. Click Generate, and AI will extract relevant questions from the document.

  1. Follow the same review and edit steps as in "Questions by Topic."

All questions are added under the selected subtopic and can be used for future tests or MLP.


Translate Questions

This option enables teachers to translate existing questions from one language to another while preserving content accuracy.

Steps to Translate Questions:

  1. Click on New Job to start the translation process.

  2. Provide a title for the translated question set.

  3. Enter the source subtopic slug (copy the slug from the subtopic containing the original questions).

  4. Enter the target subtopic slug (copy the slug for the subtopic where translated questions should be saved).

  5. Select the language for translation.

  6. Click Translate to generate the translated question set.

  1. Once completed, click the three-dot menu under the Action column, then select View More to preview the translated questions.

All translated questions are saved in the selected subtopic and can be used in future tests or MLP.
