Managing Subject Metadata

The Manage Subject Metadata feature allows admins to create and organize subjects for different grades. Admins can define subjects as Scholastic (academic) or Co-Scholastic (extracurricular), set their sequence for report card display, and associate students with relevant subjects. This ensures that all subjects are correctly categorized and structured before generating report cards.

Step 1: Log in & Navigate to Exam Management

  • Log in as an Admin on the WeXL platform.

  • In the left menu, go to Administration > Exam Management.

  • Click on Manage Subjects Metadata.

Step 2: Add a New Subject

  • Enter the subject name.

  • Select the category:

    • Scholastic (Academic subjects)

    • Co-Scholastic (Extracurricular subjects)

  • Choose the subject type (Mandatory or Optional).

  • Select the Board and Grade.

  • Choose the Subject Reference (e.g., English for English subject).

  • Set the sequence number (determines the order on the report card).

  • Click Save to finalize.

Step 3: Associate Students with Subjects

  • Locate the subject and click Associate Students under the Action button.

  • Select the section (e.g., Nur) and students.

  • Click Add to link students to the subject.

  • Repeat for all subjects.
