The Manage Subject Metadata feature allows admins to create and organize subjects for different grades. Admins can define subjects as Scholastic (academic) or Co-Scholastic (extracurricular), set their sequence for report card display, and associate students with relevant subjects. This ensures that all subjects are correctly categorized and structured before generating report cards.
Step 1: Log in & Navigate to Exam Management
Log in as an Admin on the WeXL platform.
In the left menu, go to Administration > Exam Management.
Click on Manage Subjects Metadata.
Step 2: Add a New Subject
Enter the subject name.
Select the category:
Scholastic (Academic subjects)
Co-Scholastic (Extracurricular subjects)
Choose the subject type (Mandatory or Optional).
Select the Board and Grade.
Choose the Subject Reference (e.g., English for English subject).
Set the sequence number (determines the order on the report card).
Click Save to finalize.
Step 3: Associate Students with Subjects
Locate the subject and click Associate Students under the Action button.
Select the section (e.g., Nur) and students.
Click Add to link students to the subject.
Repeat for all subjects.
The Manage Subject Metadata feature plays a crucial role in structuring academic subjects efficiently. It enables administrators to crucially organize them as Scholastic or C, and establish their sequence for report card generation.
