This guide provides a step-by-step process for creating and scheduling a course using the My Courses feature in the teacher’s portal.
Log in to the teacher's portal.
In the left-hand side navigation bar, click on "My Courses".
You will see three sections:
Course Category
Scheduled Course
Course Repository
Click on "Course Repository" to create a new course.
Click on "Create New Course".
Enter the Course Name.
Select a Course Category from the available options.
Enter a Course Description.
Click "Create" to successfully create the course.
The course will now be visible under Training Course.
Under the newly created course, click on "New Module".
Enter the Module Name (e.g., "Introduction").
Click on "Create" to add the module.
Once the module is created, you can:
Edit the module name.
Add a new page.
Add a new item.
Click on "Add New Item".
Select an Item Type from the following options:
Asset (Pre-loaded study materials).
Assignment (Tasks for students).
School Test (Quizzes and assessments).
Videos (Educational videos for students).
Mock Test (Competitive exam)
Select the Board, Grade, Subject, and Chapter.
Click on "Search Item" to find relevant content.
Click the " (Add Item) " button next to the selected item.
The selected item will be added under the module.
Repeat the steps above to add multiple modules or different items within the module.
Adding an Assignment Module
Create a new module and name it "Assignment".
Click "Add New Item" and select Assignment as the item type.
Select Board, Grade, Subject, and Chapter.
Click "Search Item" to find the relevant assignment.
Click "Preview" to review the assignment.
Click "Add Item" to add it to the module.
Adding a Test Module
Create a new module and name it "Test".
Click "Add New Item" and select School Test as the item type.
Follow the same process to select the Board, Grade, Subject, and Chapter.
Search for available tests and select the required one.
Click "Preview" and then "Add Item" to include the test in the module.
Once all modules and items are added, preview the course.
The course will initially be in Draft status.
You can:
Edit the course if changes are needed.
Delete the course if not required.
Preview the course before publishing.
Click "Publish" to make the course active.
Once published, the course status will change to Active.
You can now Preview and Edit but not Delete the course.
If needed, you can Clone the course for future use.
Click on "Scheduled Course" in the My Courses tab.
Locate the newly created course.
Click on "Schedule Course".
Select the Board, Grade, and Section for which the course is assigned.
Assign the course to specific students or all students.
Set the Start Date and Time.
Set the Due Date and Time.
Click "Schedule" to finalize the course schedule.
The scheduled course will now be visible under the Scheduled Course section.
The status and details of the course assignment will be displayed.
By following these steps, teachers can create a structured course with modules and different learning materials, and then assign it to students with a scheduled timeline. This ensures an organized learning experience for students.
